Once upon a time, there was a young named Jamie who
aspired to be a computer scientist.
His dad had signed him up for a summer program teaching kids to program and build robotics;
however, Jamie didn’t want to go because he wouldn’t know anyone else there.
Not to mention, he’d never been part of a summer program before.
Should he go or not?

Jamie went to the programming club and had a great experience learning to code. He gained confidence and as a teen had no doubts about his future.
Jamie realized he missed out on several more coding opportunities as a child, so he started a coding club at his high school and his teachers constantly supported him.
It became a very popular club consisting of mainly boys. This played a big role in his acceptance to Cal-Tech.
