Once upon a time, there was a young named Jamie who aspired to be a computer scientist.
His dad had signed him up for a summer program teaching kids to program and build robotics; however, Jamie didn’t want to go because he wouldn’t know anyone else there.
Not to mention, he’d never been part of a summer program before.
Should he go or not?

Jamie went to the programming club and had a great experience learning to code. He gained confidence and as a teen had no doubts about his future.
Jamie realized he missed out on several more coding opportunities as a child, so he started a coding club at his high school and his teachers constantly supported him.
It became a very popular club consisting of mainly boys. This played a big role in his acceptance to Cal-Tech.

Fresh out of college, Jamie got offered a job at Google developing new applications.

Congratulations! You made it!
Jamie became a successful computer engineer with help from you and the society around him.

One day, Jamie heard about a summer program teaching kids to program and build robotics.
However, Jamie wasn’t sure she wanted to go because she wouldn’t know anyone else there.
Not to mention, she might be the only girl there. Should she go or not go?

The other children at the summer program, who all turned out to be boys, refused to work with her because she was a girl.
Sadly, this lead to her not learning anything.
Should she give up or keep trying to code?

Jamie realized she missed out on several more coding opportunities as a child, so she started a coding club at her high school. Her favorite teacher was supportive of her, offering her a classroom to host it in.
Unfortunately, no one was joining the club. Jamie is now faced with a decision.
Should she give up on the club or try to convince people to join?

Over time people began to join her club which ended up playing a big role in her acceptance to Cal-Tech.

Fresh out of college, Jamie applied to many tech jobs and faced many rejections.
Luckily she minored in psychology and is now contemplating switching career paths even though computer science is what she loves.
Should she give up or apply to more jobs?

Jamie applies to more jobs and eventually gets offered a position at Bing which she accepts.
While working for Bing, she works to the best of her ability, though her superiors take no notice.
However, seeing how talented and intelligent she is, Google offers her one of their best positions, lead software engineer.

She takes the job!

Congratulations! With your help, Jamie became a successful computer engineer.
It wasn’t easy, but she made it eventually.
